San Antonio - Part 2

For 2011 Spring Break, we decided to take a little trip to San Antonio, Texas (see Part 1 of these posts here).  The focus of the trip was to visit SeaWorld.  We thought G-Man would have a blast...which he did.

We were both cheering for BYU in the NCAA tournament ; )

We started the day off at Shamu's Express - an "intro" rollercoaster for little kids.  We wanted to see if G-Man was going to appreciate rollercoasters at the ripe old age of 3.  Here's the result:

As you can tell from the video, he's not a fan quite yet ; )  I'm happy to report that he was happy at the very next attraction.  We went to the Azul show, which was an interesting combination of a traditional dolphin show with Cirque de Soleil.  G-Man thought that the guys dressed like "dragons" (who were acrobats and platform divers) were the best:

Our group favorite of the day, was Shamu.  This is the famous killer whale show that never fails to impress.

The rest of the day was a blast.  The weather was fantastic and we were able to keep G-Man entertained with sharks, eels, dolphins and playgrounds ; )  Overall, it was a great trip to San Antonio.

To cap the weekend off, we decided to try a restaurant in Austin that the locals rave about.  It's called The Oasis.  It sits above Lake Travis and has incredible views of an amazing lake.  Here are some pictures from people that have more time on their hands than I do:

It's basically a multi-story restaurant with decks to seat almost 2,000 people.  The food was great and we were able to dine there at sunset - which is a treat in Texas.  We will now make this a part of "the tour" for folks that come to visit us in Austin ; )

My boys

That's it for now.  A great 2011 Spring Break...now it's time to get some sleep ; )

Looks super fun! We'll definitely want to go to the restaurant and Sea World when we come and visit...which will hopefully be sooner rather than later.
