Ogden, Utah - Part 2

As I indicated in my last post (click here), my family is in Utah for my wife's debut performance as part of the Time Out For Women 2011 national tour.

While there, we were blessed to be able to spend time with family that lived nearby.  My son, G-Man, was able to spend time with one of his cousins, M.  G-Man and M get along famously...they have a unique way of entertaining each other.  I even took them shopping, because they are so much fun to be around.

Another great part about Utah, are the mountains.  While this picture is from a lowly cel phone, you can see what an amazing view can be had, just outside almost everyone's door:

While there, we had the chance to have members of our family see the latest addition to our family, L.  L is only 5 weeks old (as of today).  She was a big hit with the family.  It seems that they were more excited to see her, than me.  Go figure...

Another regular part of our stop in Utah, is a visit to Shirley's Bakery.  This shop, located in Provo, is famous for sweet rolls and other baked delicacy.  These were a hit for this trip:

Other regular stops on the food tour of Utah included Zupa's (soup, sandwiches and salads galore) and Cafe Rio (one of the most popular restaurants in Utah).

We also made the pilgrimage to Deseret Book - mostly for me to stock-up on reference material for my Gospel Doctrine class.  This is Sunday School at our church.  I happen to be the instructor and LOVE getting a chance to study the scriptures every single week, as part of my responsibilities at church.  This year, we have focused on the New Testament.  What a treat to read about the Savior's ministry, as well as that of his Apostles.  How cool is that?!?
