Toronto

I'm still not home yet....

Today, I'm in Toronto. Actually, I'm in Markham, Ontario - which is just a few minutes outside of Toronto. I'm here for work, as most of my division works here in Toronto.

My boss is here, and he invited me to speak to a large group of employees. I'm happy to say that the presentation went really well. I always come away from those things feeling pretty good ; )

The rest of the day was spent in meetings...as usual. The nice part was that my peers and I had dinner at my boss' house. It was supposed to be a nice BBQ...but then this happened:

Several tornadoes touched down in the Toronto area. It made for a really interesting evening ; ) The storm raged over us, as thunder, lightning and hail were racing through the sky. The cable TV shorted out, so we had fun just sitting around the table and talking shop.

I took the opportunity to tell people a little about emergency preparedness. I gave everyone some advice about 72-Hour kits. The best part was that one person in the group asked if I was LDS! I said yes, and he said he had some friends that were Mormon and they had something called a "year supply". I'm glad that they were good examples ; ) I certainly won't forget dinner at my boss' house!

I finally get to go home tomorrow. After multiple planes, rental cars and hotel rooms - I finally get to return to my family. I can't wait...
