Last week, my family went to Austin, Texas. I know that I've written about Austin quite a few times, as my company's headquarters is located there. As a result, I travel to this city frequently. As part of a recent promotion at work, they have requested that I relocated to our company HQ. This means that my family will be moving from a place that we love in Massachusetts, to the capital of the Lonestar State.
Our trip last week was primarily to look for a house to buy. We've already managed to sell our home here in MA and needed to find a place to live. My wife and little boy were able to join me on this trip, and that made a week-long trip much more fun ; )
After looking through a dozen homes, we found one that we really like. We're about to make an offer this week. I wanted to share some photos, but won't reveal the address, as a courtesy to the current owners:

The entry way - you can see the trees in the backyard reaching up to the second floor
One nice part of the house is that the back of the lot and one side are both next to "preserves", so there won't ever be houses on those two sides. Very appealing...
While in Austin, we found a great restaurant that will, I'm sure, become a favorite of ours. It's called Chuy's and serves Tex-Mex with some amazing sauces:

We'll keep our fingers crossed that our offer is accepted and we can buy the house...it would be nice to have a place to live ; )
