Greetings from Shanghai, China! I'm here again...much sooner than I had anticipated. It looks like I'll probably be back in October, as well. This trip, I'm attending a game developers event called CGDC (China Game Developer Conference).

It's a gathering of most of the game developers in Shanghai, with some representation from Taipei and Beijing. They have presentations about game design, programming and recent research on game technology. Two of my employees gave talks about advanced computer graphics.

Not actually one of my employees...but I didn't have a picture ; )
I also brought my new manager with me, to show him the China gaming market. While here, we'll be meeting with the local AMD office. I will take over responsibility for another engineering team, based here in Shanghai. I will have the chance to meet these new employees tomorrow.
On the way back to the hotel, I was able to see the brand-new Apple Store here in Shanghai. It's a beautiful structure - much like the Apple Store in Manhattan:

Don't you just want to buy another iPod? No?
Sorry for the brevity of this post - I've already written about Shanghai several times, and I don't want to bore you with the same material - funny food, crazy-tall buildings and super-fast magnetic levitation trains ; )
We're heading off to Beijing tomorrow evening, so I will try to find some time to post about that portion of the trip. Bye!
